	American Clay workshop: The main offering is a full-day workshop which covers both theory and hands-on practice. The theory portions will cover: American Clay Earth Plaster: general background, ingredients, different products. How to mix pigments, wall preparation, primer(s), second coat, sealers, and repair. The hands-on practice time will include: mixing a bucket of Loma (the 'rough finish' plaster) application of first coat onto walls, including inside and outside corners application of second coat (both Loma and Porcelina) different application techniques application of different sealers touch up/repair many tips which cannot be found on any website In some groups (depending on interest) some business elements will be taught, such as: how to bid an American Clay job what is the best way to write a contract how to market American Clay to your clients. Please bring: pencil/pen work clothes stainless steel trowel hawk (plaster tray) PLEASE bring your own lunch! There will be a short lunch break around midday. A booklet with workshop outline will be handed out for you to keep, with lots of empty page space for you to write in.
