A couple purchased this home which sits on a hill in Fairfax, California, overlooking the gorgeous Mount Tamalpais in Marin county.

They originally intended to remodel a bathroom in the downstairs floor due to much mold on and in the walls. They also sought to replace old tile with moldy grout lines with a wall coating that was mold and mildew resistant. Their architect found out about the Tadelakt technique and contacted our studio.

As the remodel progressed, they realized that the house needed much more that just a bathroom remodel once they found the presence of mold inside the walls throughout the house.

The solution: American Clay earth plaster on all interior walls and ceilings and Eco Stucco lime plaster in the bathrooms, in the water proof and mold resistant Tadelakt technique.

This simple home turned out not just gorgeous, but also healthy!
